Board Meetings Are Now Closed
The Board cancelled the May 5 open session after 12 minutes and stated it has already met the minimum requirement of four open meetings for the year. No additional open meetings are planned. Shareholders now rely on VillageViewCommunity.com for all updates, documentation, and communication.
Updated HPD & Attorney General Complaint Templates
All complaint templates have been updated to include the Board’s additional violations of the 2021 Mitchell‑Lama Reform Law, including improper meeting closures, misuse of “security breach” claims, withheld minutes, and interference with shareholder communication. Shareholders who have not filed should do so immediately. Those who already filed should file again using the updated versions.
New! Second BCL §624 filing
A notarized, multi‑shareholder BCL §624 demand for books and records was submitted on June 4. The first request is already being enforced through the court system after the Board refused to comply. The cooperative now has ten business days to provide full access to the requested records.
